Candle sensor set

General info[edit | edit source]

Candle sensor set consists of 3 LED Candle sensors that can be blown out or rekindled (with a magnet) to be triggered. The candles work in 4 different modes to suit any puzzle idea you have.

The maximum load of the feeback connector is 50 mA. If you want to connect something with a higher current load, connect an external power supply - then the maximum load is 1A.

Step 1[edit | edit source]

Connect the Candle sensor set to the Universal puzzle controller via included Ethernet cables. You can use each candle separately.

Step 2[edit | edit source]

Connect the Universal puzzle controller to a power supply.

Step 3[edit | edit source]

Blow on the LED flame to turn it off.

Step 4[edit | edit source]

Put a magnet near the base of the LED flame to turn it on again.

Step 5[edit | edit source]

Choose how the sensor is triggered by changing the mode. To do this, set the switch underneath to ON, wait for the corresponding number of LED light blinks, and switch it back to OFF.

Modes[edit | edit source]

MODE 1 – BLOW OUT (1 blink)

The LED flame is on. After players blow on it, it turns off and the sensor is triggered.

MODE 2 – REKINDLE (2 blinks)

The LED flame is off. After players put a magnet near the LED (close to its base), it turns on and the sensor is triggered.

MODE 3 – AUTO REKINDLE (3 blinks)

The sensor is triggered after players blow out the LED but it rekindles itself after 10 seconds and it’s not triggered anymore.

MODE 4 – ONLY MAGNET (4 blinks)

The sensor is triggered after players put a magnet near the LED. Then, the sensor remains triggered for 5 seconds, and it can be turned off again with a magnet afterward.
