Indy's Whip puzzle

General info[edit | edit source]

Indy’s Whip puzzle is a sneaky puzzle where a seemingly normal stone hides a combination to a padlock – if you’re perceptive enough!

DETAILS[edit | edit source]

Indy’s Whip puzzle disguises itself as a decoration, like a stepping stone or lilypad. Players need to find out that it has numbers written on it and a carved slot for the whip’s handle. Once players place the handle in the slot and wrap the whip around the stepping stone, markings on the whip will show the 4-digit combination to the included padlock.

The puzzle is great as it’s not obvious at first glance until players find the whip, see the slot, and have the “a-ha” moment.

Indy’s Whip puzzle is a stand-alone puzzle but it is also a part of our The Temple Escape Room scenario. The stepping stones are not painted.
