Keyboard sensor

General info[edit | edit source]

Keyboard sensor triggers when players type one of two passwords. You can use any keyboard you want and plug it into one or two Universal puzzle controllers. It does not contain a keyboard.

The maximum load of the feeback connector is 50 mA. If you want to connect something with a higher current load, connect an external power supply - then the maximum load is 1A.

Step 1[edit | edit source]

First, pick any USB keyboard you want and plug it into the Keyboard sensor. It can even be a wireless keyboard.

Step 2[edit | edit source]

Connect the Keyboard sensor to the Universal puzzle controller via included Ethernet cable. Then, connect the Universal puzzle controller to a power supply.

Step 3[edit | edit source]

Push and hold the red button on the sensor until it blinks once (for Password #1) or twice (for Password #2) and enter your password on the keyboard. To confirm, push the red button again.

Step 4[edit | edit source]

Whenever one of the passwords is entered, the sensor’s corresponding input becomes triggered and its red diode lights up.

Step 5[edit | edit source]

You can see if the password is right by looking at the keyboard’s diodes (Num/Caps/Scroll Lock diodes). The input is in the win state for 5 seconds, and then any button on the keyboard will reset it.
